FUTURE PLANS
Within the past year, my disabilities became worse, so not only did I give up my other business, Celtic Cultures, and but I must limit my Great Scot, Bardic Magician, performances too.

As a result, I have become intrigued with the idea of making money online, with items such as my current ebooks.

As a disabled person, I feel that they will afford me the opportunity to make money, perhaps not as much as some Internet Marketers would have me believe, but every little bit helps.

The things that appeal to me the most about this type of business is that once it is set up with things like Digital Delivery and selling them on CD's or DVD's with automatic delivery of them as well, it can run pretty well run on it's own.

There will be some effort required of course, whether it is producing new products, writing ads, posting the ads, or adding them to some sort of database to keep track of them.

The biggest advantage for me (and for others like me) is that I can do the tasks as I am capable of doing them depending upon how I am feeling and what I can, or cannot, accomplish on a specific day.

If I am unable to do something, I can pass on doing it and tackle it another day. However, depending upon the market, like available online, once an item is done and up for sale, it will be selling (hopefully!<grin>) without any help from me.

I will also be looking at other methods and venues of making my books and products available through other means, such as self-publishing.

Just as important is for you to also save money. Benjamin Franklin was correct when his Poor Richard stated "that a penny saved, is a penny earned." I plan to tell you about ways to save money. Why pay a few hundred dollars for Microsoft Office (tm) when you can get an Office Suite for free like Open Office. It will do everything that Office will do from Word processing to Spreadsheets, and even more, like turning it's output into PDF files and Web Pages. Open Office's documents are compatible with Microsoft Office.

I have been using Open Office for years and have not had any problems with it. I don't like the way it converts to HTML since it can add some strange code, but that is a problem with a lot of them. including Front Page.

for Web work, I prefer the free WSIWYG editor called Kompzer. It not only is WYSIWG, but also shows the HTML icons and Source Code, so even hard-core coding purists, will find it useful.

But I digress.
My goal is for me to document my process with what I am doing, how I am doing it, what works (or doesn't), and other things that I discover along the way.

I will be reviewing some of the products that I find or use to make the business work and if I find they are helpful as either products to sell or to make the job easier, I will let you know about them. I might also make them available to you for your own use. Some of the products will be free and some will cost money- which means that I will be selling them to you directly or making a commission on them (this is what Internet Marketers call "an additional product stream.") and you can do the same.

I will be fair in my assessment and not offer anything that I feel would be a rip-off. If I wouldn't use it, I won't offer it, and I will tell you so and why.

I am trying to decide if I should do this using a blog or a Facebook page. if you have any suggestions as to which method I should use, please let me know.

As a final thought, these ideas could work for anyone, not just folks with disabilities. If you are artist, performer, film maker, actor, singer, a non-profit, a  theatre company, or you, keep checking us out if you want to make some money (extra or otherwise), expand your markets and sales or just to save money.
